| Written on 10/04/02 11:25 pm (EST) We can do SO much more than we normally think we can. With focus, work, flexibility and will - we can do just about anything. Face your fears, face yourself and force your will into your life. If you have your goals and you're no closer than whenver you set them - it's because the lazy, hypnotized self has still got the edge. This is unfortunately normal in society today and requires hard work and dedication to break. We've been given so many excuses by the media, our friends, our selves and just about everyone else for so long... We believe many of them so strongly, we're living a bunch of lies now. We'll tell ourselves and each other just about anything to ease the pain of actually having to deal with our own destiny. I can't believe how many years of my life I spent, lying to myself, angry, confused and frustrated for no good reason. Sure, I have problems like everyone else but to dwell on them so much just creates bigger, uglier problems. Many of you will know exactly what I'm talking about. It seems as a planet, we've all taken a big nap - just going from place to place - job to job and go through the motions without even realizing that dozens of years are burning away without our stepping in to re-direct the way things are going. It would be so easy to sit down and harp on it, feel bad and hopeless for falling into the same rut. The real difference happens when we just stop and say, "wait a minute, I'm NOT going to do this anymore - the things I want are too important and I've got places to be" - then sit down set those goals, figure out the ways you can get them and chase those goals - even if you have to totally retrain yourself in whatever spare time you can create. Life is practice, practice is exercise and exercise is training. That means you start in the smallest possible place with where you want to be. Start at the beginning, or step one, the first thing. The phone call, the book, the lessons, the planning - whatever it is for what you want - you MUST start. Face fears head on, it's the only way through - if there is ANY fear standing between you and your goals. Stand up and walk right through them. Fear is a bully and must be dealt with in the same way. You face that bully and kick butt! If you can't the first time, you eventually will because you'll get better and stronger with every battle. But, unlike bullies, fear won't call it's friends, fear won't hold a grudge or anything. Understanding is the big weapon against fear - understanding and action. It seems to me that the action itself creates that understanding. So act in spite of fear and walk right through it and though it may come back, it WILL be smaller the 2nd, 3rd and 4th times - until eventually, the fear moves on and leaves you alone in this specific case. Many fears need to be faced individually - though once one fear is faced, the others almost automatically seem easier and smaller because you begin to see your own power. So start small. As small as possible. The easiest, most doable little piece of work possible. Then, DO THAT WORK. Do the first thing and then the next, and now you're walking. Mistakes will be made, just recover and move on - do NOT stop. I repeat, recover and move on. Then, start building - just like exercise, see if you can do this one more time. Just ONE more. Improve your performance by just trying a LITTLE harder or finding a slightly better way. Keep your form, take it slow, do the baby steps to the best of your ability making them as disciplined as possible. Now is the time to perfect your technique, when you're NEW to something. Figure it out, watch and listen to the people getting the best results - how are they doing it? How are the teachers teaching it? What do YOU think about it? Maintain! Keep this up, repeat it... over and over again. Practice! Train! Work it!! You'll get it! PRACTICE! TRAIN! WORK IT! LEARN MORE - WATCH THINGS & LISTEN MORE Be patient! we're all flawed, we're all the same, it's going to take time and effort.. Results take time! Be willing to set the rule, do the training and get YOUR results.. Take that time, do the thinking.. Keep it positive.. You want to DO something... That's a positive, forward thing - just LEARN from the past, don't live there. Stay away from gossip, stay away from blaming anything or anyone. Just stop everything and start again. START AGAIN and keep building. You want better than you've got right? I do too.. I do too.. that means we have to fight for it.. Fight against laziness, fight against complacency, fight against our "evil" side and think our OWN thoughts, do our own deeds and get our own results. Don't expect anything from anywhere, go get it yourself - just like at the store. Figure out what you want, get the money to pay, go the the store and GET that thing. We can make excuses all day long - but every excuse just creates more distance between us and our dreams. Excuses STEAL and kill results. Positive thought and action creates results. If you're struggling, read and re-read this stuff.. THINK about past things you've heard or read from leaders, speakers or even in your religious books - you can and will get this stuff if you REALLY want to.. I'll try my hardest to get as many people as possible "in on it" - once people really get these universal laws and techniques, they actually USE it because for the first time in their lives, it becomes possible and true. I know because FINALLY I am one of those people.. YES!!!! This stuff is WAY easier than we think.. but it's harder too.. It's SO easy in principle, but MAN is it hard to get out of a rut of thinking.. and it's all really just about thinking and doing. Thinking and doing. Think about it. It's YOUR life. YOUR mind, YOUR body. How can you use them to get your dreams without harming anyone else? How? Don't try to get your dreams all at once, one little baby piece at a time. Don't make a million dollars, just make ONE. Don't lose 50 pounds, just lose ONE. Then two. How could you do that? How can you get just ONE more? Think about it? Ask around, read, do WHATEVER it takes - and it's NOT as hard as we think. Keep thinking, have faith in yourself, have faith in your ability to CREATE. THINK about it. ...until next time friends |
