Take some time and think about how you would like to be seen by other people. And then think about how you'd like to be remembered after you pass.


Just as we have opinions of other people based on how they act (what they say and do on a regular basis) - people have definite opinions about us, whether we are aware of it or not.


When you meet someone for the first time, how you act begins painting a picture of the type of person you are overall. If for some reason you are angry and act as such, you will be seen as an angry person. People are very quick to generalize and it doesn't take long for a firm opinion to be formed. And don't forget, people talk - this is how your reputation is spread!


As a general rule, many people don't think much about how total strangers feel about them. For our purposes here, I'll be talking about the people in our lives whose opinions usually matter the most.

Family, friends, co-workers, employees/employer, or any other people you might find interesting, attractive or desireable to know or get along with in any way.


How do you currently feel these people think you are as a person?


Seriously, take some time and give it some thought. How do you honestly feel the people you care most about see you based on your behavior over time?

So what do you think?


Did you grade yourself honestly?


Or did you think how you wished they saw you without the action over time to back it up?


It is important to realize how we feel people may have interpreted us in the past - because the way people see us can be changed by changing the things we say and do over a period of time.


Now that you have an idea how the people you care most about may already see you - how would you ultimately like them to see you? Use the same list from above and start thinking about the people closest to you and the things you'd like them to feel about you automatically whenever they hear your name or see you.


Once you've made some decisions how you'd like to be seen and remembered, keep the following question in your head as often as possible to help you keep control while you go about your life:

I want to be seen as a person who is ______________.


Answer this question in your head as often as possible while you're doing normal, everday things for the rest of your life.


Do you want to be seen as a person who is completely out of control and just shouts and throws things? Do you want to be seen as a strong role model who is humble and caring?



How you are seen by other people is entirely up to you. If you have any doubt believing this, read from the rest of this website and learn about the truth of our human situation..
